2003 Dodge Stratus Coupe SXT
G code engine
4 cyl sohc
21A4 transmission
I called the dealer and they ran the VIN # and gave me a part # for a transmission filter
for this car. About 65 bucks. Said it came as a filter and a gasket togther.
I called a parts place and it was under 15 bucks.
My question is this, I keep reading that this car, a Mitsubushi build dodge does in fact
NOT have a trans filter, yet dodge was going to sell me one?
I cant seem to get a straight answer from any website or a book...
Does it or not have one. It has never had a trans service and want to do one.
I even have a Haynes manual and it is not even very clear on this.
It should be a straight forward deal to change it out but I just cant see buying
parts and fluids to start tearing apart a car only to find out that there is
nothing there to change....
