2006 Lancer Slips out of Gear

I have a 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer that intermittently slips out of gear while I am driving. Mostly while accelerating into 2nd and going around corners.
Also happening while its cold and snowy.
Has anyone else had this problem? Or could offer some insight to why this may be happening?

If an automatic transmission, check the fluid level.
