2013 Ford Fiesta squeaking/squealing noise - possibly transmission?

I have a 2013 Ford Fiesta with 53000 miles. After I've been driving for about 20-30 minutes, I hear this squealing noise coming from under the hood on the driver's side. It almost sounds like tires squealing on the road, but more choppy. The longer I drive, the worse it gets. The noise comes when I accelerate from a stop or my RPMs stay within the 1500 - 2000 range. Eventually, it happens at any time - when I'm in park, neutral, taking my foot off the brake, etc. However, when I accelerate quickly or my RPMs are above 2000, the noise goes away. Also, when I shut off the car, the noise comes back in a muted way, almost as if that noise is powering down if that makes sense.
I know that this car is prone to transmission problems and am wondering if that could be the cause or if anyone has any idea what the exact issue could be while I look into my warranties and schedule a time to take it to get looked at.

There is one of 3 possible transmissions in this car, Is it a 4 speed or 6 speed automatic?

Hello,
This trans is the direct shift gearbox(dsg), this one is the duel dry clutch. The design of the dry clutch, this trans is inherently noisy. Some of these noises can be because of loose internal mechanical end play clearances, other issues for noise can be play in the flywheel or the damping spings. From what i read the noise may sound like pieces of metal in an empty paint can(thats how the guy described it). not 100% sure you have a trans noise. I also would have it checked out.

Thanks for the info. Just curious, is there any specific reason why that noise occurs only when the car has been running for 30 mins? I know it probably varies based on the issue, but is there a general reason for that?

Not really sure why that is,but the way its designed, its noisy, i would have this checked out, to make sure it is the trans, articles that i read dont really mention squeaking or squealing noise.
