First thankyou for this forum and the unselfish advice given.
2014 k1500 5.3 with 6 l80e
No reverse,.my sons truck.
it drove home fine left home went to work and no reverse to back out of spot. No noises,. no codes,.all 6 forward and lockup ok,. reverse is mia. fluid good color and up to level
Advice on what to do/check before the trans comes out?
Being an electronic trans we are hoping it might be electrical

Hello,
Are there any codes present in the transmission? Also by chance does this move forward in Neutral?

yes i just found out it has code 2724 for pressure solenoid
and yes its moving in nuetral,.

Hello,
You have a clutch pack that is locked together if this moves forward in Neutral, not much can be done other than pulling the transmission and overhauling it. Gary

well just an update,. truck sat for a week,. he went to move it,. and the nuetral creep was gone, So he drove it and all gears are working fine including lockup
WTH???? i cant explain it,. we dropped pan and put a new filter in just because,....
It makes no sense,.
