Search Auto Parts Search 4l60e transmission problem Sign up here!   Email This Post Auto Repair Home>> Automotive Repair>> Transmission Problems bitty New User Oct 19, 2018, 7:57 AM Post #1 of 4 (1589 views) 4l60e transmission problem Sign In 1994 chevy 1500 4.3 L had a 4l60e in truck you could manually shift put another 4l60e in and doing the same thing .transmission shifts from 1st to 2nd at 5 mph from 2nd to 3rd at 10mph when it shifts into 3rd it goes in and out , valve rattle it does goes into overdrive smoothly down shifts good no noise in transmission no check engine lights on . idles good and accelerates great . I can manually shift all gears , strong , no slipping or noise . if I take off at 1/2 throttle or above transmission shifts fine . Do you have access to scan tool? Even though it's a 2 wheel drive, they a wired for 4x4 and if the 4x4 low wire is shorted the car will stack shift. If you go to transmission data it will show a pid for 4x4 low, need to see if it says on or off.
