I have a 93 Chevy C1500 with a 5 speed I want to put a 700R4 that I have in there but I need to know how to wire it in there a plug with 3 wires coming out of the side of the trans I pull the trans from a 89 Astro Van
also need to find a drive shaft for this the junk yards I call all want alot for one need to find one in the jacksonville Fl area Thanks

This diagram should help the only thing is do not get confused at the brake light switch like other people have.
For the lock-up you need to have a brake light switch(four terminal) that has a connection or continuity with the pedal not applied and goes open when applied.
A regular two wire brake Light switch is open when not applied and closed to turn on the brake lights when the peddle is applied.

Thank you I understand what you are saying about the brake wire but what about the 2 other wires you show them going in to the computer do I need to wire it to the computer? I also have the computer that came out of the same Van as the trans if I need it both the van and the truck has the same motor 4.3 only the van had a auto tran and A/C and the truck don't the wires one the trans is OEM thanks

You may have some issues regardless of which computer you use; one is designed/programmed for a pick-up with a manual trans. The other was for a van with and automatic.
I guess what I would try is to use the pick-ups original computer and take the wire that goes to the computer (the tan/black) and take it to ground; forget about hooking it to the computer all together. The pressure switch inside the trans will delegate when to lock-up the converter, just like pre computer designs.
As for the Lt blue wire just leave it disconnected; it was there to tell the computer when the trans went into fourth.
This is just theory on my part but it should work to get the converter to go into lock-up. Give it a try, you won’t hurt anything.
I just put a 700R in my sons 79 Firebird and that is how I wired it and the trans works great; lock-up comes in just where you would expect it.
One other thing you could do is install a toggle switch in between the brake light switch and the trans.
Just in case at 30 or 40 miles an hour the lock-up starts to kick in and out. With the toggle switch you can disable lock-up until you reach a speed that it’ll stay in.
