93 LeBaron tranny problem

I just replaced the shift solenoid on my son's 1993 LeBaron Convertible it has a V6. About three years ago I had to replace the shift solinoid because it would not upshift higher than 2nd gear. I started the same thing yesterday, I replaced the solenoid and it worked for about 5 miles, now the thing won't shift above 2nd again, any ideas

You may want to bring it to a trans. shop and have the transmission controller scanned for codes. They should also do a fluid pressure check. These ( and all Chryslers) had multiple problems with transmissions. If this is the 4- speed automatic trans. it fits the description. Start with these few checks and good luck. I have seen so many 90's years Chrysler trans failures and that included my van. That's why I got rid of it. 2 trannys in 7 years was enough for me.
P.S. I drive a Chevy now.
