93 chevy transmission slips 3rd gear Sign In

i have a 93 Chevy 1500 5.7 with a 700r4 automatic transmission. 1st and 2nd gear drive fine but slips 3rd gear.
i have another transmission but its a 4L60 4 pin (i'm assuming its for pump) with a throttle type cable and my 700r4 has 12 pin connect. can i use this tranny and work around the electrical difference or at least parts to repair the 700r4
the mounting holes all line up.
any information about this would be a great help. thank you

4L60 is a 700R4. I think your getting a 4L60E confused with your 4L60. The 4L60E is electronic and has the 12 wire connector. The 700R4, which was renamed the 4L60, has the four wire connector for the lock up torque converter.

You best bet is having your 4L60E rebuilt.

gotcha I noticed my confusion looking at a manual.
due to lack of funds to pay for labor to rebuild the 4L60E. I was hoping I could use the 4L60 and hookup the TV cable and rewire . oh well thank you.....
