94 Chevy k1500 pickup 5.7 liter 4 wheel drive and egr systems

My 94 chevy k1500 5.7 will engage to 4 wheel drive but the front tires wont actually spin makes a slite grinding noise no lights pop up on dash also i have a check engine code #32 for egr systems i replaced the egr valve but code comes on when im driving on the highway or parked in idling while engine is warmed up

Arggh: Codes iffy but that problem suggests a vacuum leak most likely the problem. Can't be sure but it's in the area that 4X4 is vacuum actuated and if not enough will not engage. It's also old enough for other reasons but you already tossed the EGR so it probably isn't getting vacuum enough either.
It's that era of vacuum hose all over the place have to know that they are all good. If not 4X4 vacuum actuated it's still not sensing the request properly but I'd first rule out all vacuum leaks anywhere,
