99 silverado shift problems

At times my transmission change out of 1st and second gear real hard. Especiallly if I have been using AC or pulling a trailer for about 50 miles, but when the truck is cool or just started up it shifts out real good. The hard shifting doesnt happen all the time but just occaisionally. Is this a filter and screen problem?

I suggest changing fluid and filter and adding a trans fluid cooler as it seems to misbehave at the higher temps and loads on it now. High temps of trans fluid is damaging to trans,
