1990 Chevy Corsica LT,3.1 L V6 auto transaxle 147,000 miles. Problem diagnosed as Torque Converter Control Solenoid, I have the part but have found NOTHING in any repair manuals for directions on replacing this item. Anyone familiar with this procedure who can walk me through it or recomend a resource? Symptom; After travelling at highway speed for length of time when I exit & try to come to stop, car acts like stick shift left in high gear. chug chug stall, chug chug stall!

The solenoid is located behind the side cover. If you remove the LF tire, you'll see the cover. Not a fun job at home. I'll see if I can get you some more info. Labor guide shows 1.7 hrs and about $52.00 for the solenoid. Loren SW Washington
