I have been having problems with my truck it has been on a downhill streak, I hit railroad tracks and it died. Turned out to be a ground but I still have a cylinder 5 misfire I replaced plugs, wires, MAF and air filter. But I started to get a wine coming from under the hood which appeared to be, but I took it to macanic and thy said it was a vaccum leak they took off the belt and it wasn't it. I have figured out it's coming from the tranny the RPMs are super high when it shifts it doesn't slip or miss but it lacks in shifting badly I need help!!

Which codes are stored in the PCM? Which ground and what was wrong with it? Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Not Forsure which ground it was a small wire that came from the battery termal set witch is just below the steering pump I put a new wire connecter, and cleaned the bold and I'm getting these C0035,P0101, P0118, P0300, P0355,P1380

1500, 2500, 3500? 4x4? Some of those codes you may have set when you did your parts swapping. You should clear all the codes and see which ones come back. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

C0035 is a wheel speed sensor code. It doesn't tell you which WSS has the problem, but you will need to use a scan tool to monitor the wheel speed sensor data to find out which sensor is having the issue. The C0035 is probably causing the P1380 code. The P1380 is basically an information code to let you know the PCM has disabled rough road detection. Rough road detection is determined by the WSS, so the PCM doesn't mistaken misfiring for a rough road condition. P0118 is a engine coolant temperature code. ECT is a very important sensor for the PCM. The PCM uses the ECT for load calculation, ignition timing, fuel enrichment, TCC engagement, etc. The PCM is detecting that the reading from the sensor is less than -36 degrees F for 20 secs. This usually is a problem with the sensor, connector, or wiring. You'll need to troubleshoot that using a volt meter. P0300 is a random misfire code. Usually means more than one cylinder has a misfire. You would have to look at current and history datastream misfire count information to see which cylinders are missing. The P0355 may be the reason you have a number 5 misfire. That code basically means there is a problem with the number 5 coil ignition control (IC) circuit. The PCM sends a digital signal to control the transistor in the coil. The transistor is turned on and off to create the spark. You should find out if the coil is generating a spark. A spark tester could be used to test for spark. The spark should be able to jump a 3/4 inch gap with your tester. If you have no spark, you need to make sure that you have power and ground to the number 5 coil. Then you would need a scope or graphing multimeter to see if the PCM is sending the signal to the coil on the IC circuit. Another thing you can do is to swap the number 5 coil with another cylinder's coil and see if the misfire moves. If is does, more than likely you have a faulty coil. If not then you need to check for those things that is listed in the paragraph above. You have to solve all the engine performance problems first before going after transmission issues. Engine performance issues will affect the operation of the transmission. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

Well the ABS light is on which is due to the moron who owned the truck before me.. He cut the line, the misfire i bought a new coil for 5 an it still misfired, I bought wires but I got differnt ones they're supposed to be here tomorrow, I just want to determine the squeal in the tranny

Really don't think a set of plug wires is going to solve your misfire problem. Can't tell you what the squealing noise is coming from the transmission. You may have to bring it to a transmission shop. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.

We'll wires were never replaced at all on the truck with 115xxx mi and I broke cylinder 3 wires so I bought another set, I'm just In a tight budget for this truck it's never gave me problems but the 13 mpg ..
