Clutch fluid leaking

Hello: I have 1991 Mits Montero 6cyl 5speed. My clutch pedal goes to the floor and will not return to the top position. I checked the clutch fluid resevoir and it was empty. I could not see where it was leaking. I filled up the resevoir and started the engine and the clutch pedal still will not return to the top. I cannot put car into gear. The hoses are all intact so I am not sure where to check next to determine where the leak is. Help please.

You have a leak in either the clutch master cylinder or the slave cylinder and it will have to be replaced and then all the air bled from the system which won't be easy to do. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
