Does Transmission oil pan damage with no leak damages the transmission Sign In

I have rented a vehicle and the auto transmission failed. According to rent-A-Car company the car was hit underneath and transmission oil pan was damaged.

There is not a single drop of oil leak and is it possible this caused transmission failure pictures attached.

I would appreciate if someone could help.

I tried to make your pics show up here but they are too large for that.

Of course you can damage the internal parts of the transmission with a dent in the pan. No, it does not have to leak to have damage.

The question would still remain on how much damage was done and the actual cost to repair. Rental companies have a reputation for going after a total destruction cost when the actual repair is far less. They like turning a profit on their customers.
