Sign In I've got an '02 Honda Civic 4 door, 94k miles. Over the last week or so my front right suspension has developed a kind of knocking sound. I can hear it the easiest when I'm coasting at around 15-25 mph over that speed it goes away. If I brake the sound immediately goes away. The knocking speed is dependent on how fast I'm going...faster speed = more knocking (not necessarily louder though) The tires are in good shape and have no obstructions/rocks/and are not flat. Try hoisting drive wheels and spin by hand for CV joint and bearing problems. Remove wheel(s) and inspect for brake problems.
