I have a 2002 chysler Sebring with 80,350 miles on it.just bought it and the tranny seems to go into neutral When I come to a stop or when I let off the gas and am coasting. When I come to a stop i have to wait a few seconds to go or it will slam into gear hard. It shifts fine and does not slip. Just seems like it goes into neutral.

Your going to have to take it to a transmission shop, so they can monitor line pressure. Could have a worn pump or regulator problem that doesn't provide enough pressure at engine idle speeds. It's also possible there is an internal leak causing low pressure at idle speed. If the pressure gets too low, the actuators and servos for the clutches and bands can't apply enough pressure to hold the apply components.
