How long to rebuild cvt transmission Sign In

How long? I have my 2008 Jeep Compass at AAMCO getting the transmission rebuild. it's been in there for 3 months now. They keep saying they are waiting for parts? I even reached out to another transmission place and they said they have no problems getting parts. I even had them call AAMCO asking for the part numbers so they can provide them with the parts, but the mechanic never gets back to them. Unfortunately i paid up front. What can i do?

Transmissions are a specialty this site has a specialist hope is by.
THE HUGE PROBLEM IS YOU PAID FOR IT DONE ALREADY!!

The auto repair trade is IMO more an estimate up front, perhaps some cost to find out how extensive or open ended with things you can't know till you are part way there.

All that discussed up front, this show is backwards.

Get your money back if you can without a wild horror show and take it elsewhere it's not an unheard of vehicle even if it has some rare version IDK you should now know that,

It is true that parts are becoming very hard to get and you can rebuild anything without parts.

That being said be can't tell you if the shop is being truthful with you.

i usually don't pay up front, but i did have a transmission rebuild from them over 15 years ago and had no problems.

Next time i will not pay until the work is done.

Hello, Not sure whats going on there, 3 months? What i have been doing for the past few years is just go with a reman transmission. I'm thinking maybe they can't get it to work correctly. Gary Should not take that long, if parts are not available i would think they should just go with a reman unit.
