Hi friends
I drive Hyundai Santro Xing XP model 2004 Petrol and it has completed 58000 kms. Recently there were problems in changing gears and i got the clutch cable replaced with new. It worked fine for couple of days but later same problem reappeared. It was impossible to put gear into 1st or 2nd and i had to start the car straight from 3rd gear. Also gears had become tight like before, and changing gears while in motion was a pain and required lot of effort. The local garage mechanic suggested he will need to open the gear box assembly to check gears. As i didnt hv much time, i asked him to provide a faster alternative. He simply put his hands inside bonnet and adjusted clutch cable setting, and now clutch feels as good as new and gear change is a cakewalk. It was done in less than a minute!

Can anybody suggest how to adjust clutch cable tightening, or is there a nut assembly which can be loosened or tightened if same problem appears again.

Thanks in advance.
