1997 GMC sierra k1500 sle 5.7 4l60e trans.

Hello I just bought this truck a couple of weeks ago and the truck was running smoothly. Recently the transmission will not shift into 3rd or 4th at regular rpms. It will however shift only into 3rd once over 3000 rpms, it's also a very smooth shift. So far all I have attempted was cleaning the throttle body and replacing the vehicle speed sensor. The previous owner had also told me he replaced both trans solenoids. Could this be an easy fix or are my 3rd and 4th gear toast?

Codes: p0102 mass air flow circuit
p0141 oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2
p1345 crankshaft/camshaft position sensor
Tranny fluid is at correct level both warm and cold, also clean and smells normal. The engine doesn't run to well on cold start, but runs great after 5 minutes. Both engine and tranny have no unusual sounds. Just an old truck, from the odometer the vehicle has 238,000 on it.

238,000 miles: Fine just a note that's over intended life/wear for many things even with exceptional care. If trans hasn't had a serious overhaul somewhat recently in its history I don't think it can perform well that long miles wise. Engine's crudest fundamentals could be off such that sensors can't stay accurate.

It's just my 2 cents you really should know the actual condition of this engine and trans as I'm unsure sensors then codes are real but probably not the fix,

Hello,
Your 3-4 clutch is no good, this is a weak point on this trans. Gary

Also, the P1345 means that the distributor is set incorrectly. Many people mistakenly think they can adjust timing by turning the distributor but they cannot, All that accomplishes is throwing the sensors out of synch with each other. You need a professional scan tool to set it correctly.
