Possible Transmisison Issue? Sign In

My 2000 Audi A6 Quattro (110K miles) has a lot of throttle lag at 60 mph in automatic drive. I push the pedal all the way to the floor and it will not go any faster. However, when I switch to either 4th gear or steptronic then it works and I can get up to speed. The mechanics looked at the computer and could not find anything wrong. They stated it was the transmission since I had a very minor leak in fluid. However, in auto drive, the car does not rev the RPMs as if it is trying to switch to the next gear it just feels as if the fuel is not being delivered to the engine. Anyone had this issue or have an idea of what this might be?

Oh and also if I flutter the gas pedal sometimes it will go. No issues at lower speeds with the throttle. Thanks.
