Second gear sounds like it has some play when applying torque.

Hy, my ride: Chevrolet Cruze 2013, 1.7L diesel, FWD manual 6 gears After eight years of breaking this machine in i noticed a slight clanking in second gear when applying positive or negative tourque. When i am cruzing in second gear around 1500rpm and i completely let go of the gas i sometime hear a clank. Like if the drive shaft has to spin/slip a bit until it gets slowed down by the engine. Same thing the other way around... If i then apply gas i hear the clanking again. As if the engine has to spin/slip a bit before the power is transmitted to the wheels. This is only audible in second gear and i can't feel any lag in the acceleration. Is there such a thing as "a gear of second gear has worn out"? thanks for any useful or funny replys. PS: The occasional 1-3rd lauch occurs tree times a week and i like to shift only using the gas (not using the clutch and obviously not while launching).
