Shifted into gear, car won't move Sign In

I have a 2000 Chevy cavalier. 2.2 engine, approximately 135,000 miles. It's been running fine. I went to the store, parked the car. When I went to go home, she started right up.i put it in drive, it wouldn't move. I tried all gears to no avail. Turned the key on, putting it in neutral to push it, wouldn't move. I haven't checked anything else. the car still sits in the parking lot. Hopefully will get it towed today. Looking for any possible solutions. Thank you.

Sounds silly but happens - Is parking brake left on?

You should check the shifter cable to see if it still attached at the transmission and the shifter.
