Now I am really confused. My 97 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 5.2 V-8 4x4 w/auto tranny. The Haynes manual says to use Mopar plus 4 ATF The owners manual says to use Mopar ATF Plus (type 7176 preferred) The dipstick says to use Mopar Plus 2 ATF or Dextron II Holy crap what to use?????

ATF +4 will cover all of them. It's backwards computable to everything. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
