Transmission fill tube won't drain into reservoir

I have a 1992 Subaru Legacy LS Station Wagon, AWD. I accidently drained the transmission fluid instead of the oil when I was changing the oil and drove it around the block without transmission fluid in it. (I KNOW I KNOW I'M STUPIDDDD haha get your laughs out now) I tried to refill the transmission but the fluid is stuck in the fill tube and won't drain into the transmission reservoir. When I take the plug out of the bottom of the transmission reservoir, nothing comes out. When I try to engage the car it runs really high rpm's and creeps forward as I give it gas. (5000rpms at 2mph) HERES WHAT I TRIED: I jacked the car up at an angle and tried to manually pour transmission fluid into the transmission reservoir under the car using a funnel and flexible tubing. I was able to get 2 quarts (this car requires 8.8) in before it started dripping so I plugged it and took it off the jack stands. I let the car idle for about 5 minutes, put it in drive and it WORKED as if nothing was wrong! I drove it back and forth in my drive way for about 5 minutes and then it started running high rpms and stopped working like it had done previously. I checked the fill tube and it still had not drained. I have tried unclogging it with a clothes hanger wire but that did not work. Would a transmission flush at the shop potentially fix the clog? IF the fill tube becomes unclogged, does the transmission sound like it will be ok from everything I have tried?

Guess: Fill tube that clogged is so bad it's time for a rebuild or another car at that age, T
