Hey all i have just recently changed the transmition fluid on my mitsubishi magna advance 1999 model 3.5 liter v6 and ever since then it keeps taking time to change from 3rd to 4th so if im driving down the street it will keep going past 3000 rpm then suddenly jolt as it changes gear any idea what the problem can be and can any one tell me the best way to check the transmition fluid as its all ways sprayed up the stick. Thanks K.Smith

K.Smith; Check all of the electrical connections going to the transmission. Is the speedometer working properly? No unusual fluctuations? What type of transmission fluid did you use. Mitsubishi requires a special fluid. With the engine at normal operating temp, in neutral with parking brake set, level ground, you should be able to check the fluid level. If it is 'foaming' I'd guess that the fluid is the incorrect type or that you have an internal trans. problem.

I put the required mitsubishi fluid in it does not foam its just when i put the dip stick in and pull it back out theres transmition fluid all up the dip stick so i carnt get a reading

There is nothing wrong with speedo every thing seems to be in fine working order i tried resetting the computer by disconnectiong the battery but still no fix it only happens when its changing from 3rd to 4th
