transmission Sign In

We have a 1995 chrysler cirrus, v6 with auto transmission. When driving the care it goes out of gear, some say limp mode and wont shift up, at first my daughter could park and turn off car and then restart and it would work. Now you have to disconect the power let it set and its ok for a day or two then starts this again. One machanic said that the cirrus has a program malfunction and it cant be fixed but I dont want to get rid of the car all else is good.

Re: transmission Sign In

Your vehicle has an input and output speed sensor on the transaxle. These will fail and cause your symptoms. They are not all that expensive and are fairly easily replaced. Here is a picture of the part. Looked for a picture on transaxle and don't have it handy.
