transmission fluid leak

When I pulled down the alley this morning in my 1987 Jeep Pioneer(automatic trans. w/4x4) I heard and felt a noise, so I stopped immedietly and saw a huge reddish brown puddle in the snow. It smelt like tranni fluid, but I'm no expert. It came from my left front by the radiator? Checked all fluids and tranni was low? But I don't know why trans. Fluid would even be in that area? But I'm no machanic. Any suggestions?

There are 2 tranny lines that attach to the radiator because there is a trans cooler inside the radiator. It sounds like one of the lines burst which is not a real big deal. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.
