I have a 1995 park avenue and about 1 month ago the trans would not shift out of 1st and the speedo did not work. The car has about 150k so after some research i figured it was the vss and replaced it. the car ran just fine for about 2 weeks then started the same thing again . also both times this started on a muggy night. I am lost now, is it a defective vss? another sensor? moisture maybe? what else besides a vss would cause the speedo and trans to fail?
