my 85 ford ranger has started jumping/pulling at constant intervals of a few seconds or more anytime that i am at even the slightest incline. it does not matter the speed. it is a manual. i have not taken it in. it recently had the timing slightly adjusted. it is old and was not being used for a while, but we have since been using it for 4 months. miles are beyond what odometer can show. any ideas? thanks

The clutch plate is more likely your problem, sounds as if its slipping then grabbing at different times
