Removing spark plug boots Sign In

Not sure if this has been posted before but I read in Motor about a technicians tip for removing stuck spark plug boots is to take a skinny air needle and wedge it between the plug and boot careful not to crack the plug and blow it should poop of (may take some convincing)...hope that helps

I read that tip too a while back. Good tip, but haven't tried it. We have a shelf in the bathroom with Motor Age, Motor, and Underhood Service stacked up. There's some good stuff in those mags.

Someone also had a tip in one of those mags about using brake shavings to help bite on stripped out screw heads.
