I have the part but am not sure how to fit it. The part is the plastic button that attaches to the gear selector on a 2001 Holden Commodore Berlina sedan. The button and spring enable the gear selector to change gears.

Holden is basically GM in Australia, right? We don't have those here in the states, but I believe your vehicle is related to the Catera. This is just a wild guess, but there may be a little metal u clip that you have to pry out to get the shift handle off. Since we volunteer our time and knowledge, we ask for you to please follow up when a problem is resolved.
