I'm trying to find out how to change/adjust a European speedometer so it will read miles? Can anyone help me or refer me to someone who might have the answer?

The only way your going to be able to do that is if it is equipped for dual systems which it may not be. Most vehicles are not changeable and are made one way or the other. Your owners manual will tell you if it is possible. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Hey, thanks. Well, it does support the dual system but there's no owner's manual. What would you recommend?

You should be able to find an owners manual for it. Try searching online.

Well, that's the thing. I'm writing a report about it, so I don't really have a make or model. My car, for instance, has the old-fashioned speedometer that can't be adjusted. Would you recommend a make and model that has the dual system? I've been looking up cars, but the display is generally dual-labeled--with either mph being predominant or km/h, depending on the country. None of them, so far, have a digital speedometer. They do have the digital odometer; but it's the speedometer I'm wondering about. Which cars, if any, have digital speedometers? Then, I will be able to check out the owner's manual.

OK, that makes it a little harder. Digital dashes are really not that common any more. They were pretty common back in the early to mid 90s. Buick was one model that used them quite often back then but I'm not too familiar with European models. Maybe someone else will be.

Thanks again. I did finally find some, Chevy Corvette, Saab 9-5, Pontiac and GMC. I have looked at their owner's manuals and can write up my report.
