Hey all, I need a little direction. A friend of mine has a auto body shop & approx 10 vintage cars in inventory. He's become real sick and highly motivated to sell. Place is located in Tampa Bay area. Any suggestions???

Have you gone and seen it? What are your plans to do with it? Do you have any expirience with doing bodywork?

I've seen some photos of the shop. I dont have any automotive experience. That's why I'm here getting suggestions.
He's selling the building, equipment, & car inventory

Unless you are just buying this to flip it and maybe turn a profit which would be risky in itself, I wouldn't get involved. You have to know this business inside out to operate it successfully and even then you may not succeed. Don't think for one minute that you can just hire somebody to run it for you because you will be out of business and broke in no time.

Thanks for the great advice, but I'm not looking to buy his business. Just looking for some suggestions to help him quickly liquidate in his time of need.

List it with the business brokers and they will promote it in the right places but there will be a commission involved.
