i have a honda alternator ahga50 asta7091zc ed 12v 5210 ..
i have alternator and i want to known how to text if its working its not connected to a car it will be connected to a dc motor for and electric tricycle ..

You would need a battery for actual power or charge it/them and doubt you can spin an alternator fast enough for your project - neat idea but really doubt it would work,

I'm confused. You can get the alternator tested at most automotive part stores.
I don't quite understand what your building, but if the DC motor is driving the alternator and tricycle, your not really accomplishing anything unless your pedaling it to charge a battery with the alternator and then sometimes using the DC motor to power the bike. Your going to be pedaling your ass off to charge the battery and move the bike at the same time. With all the weight and resistance involved I hope your towing a crash cart behind it..LOL

Way back when you could get a device for a bicycle that you flipped to turn on a tire and give you power for a headlight not much more than a flashlight and OMG you could feel the extra load from just that never mind powering it.
You are better off with plain pedal power than converting that to electrical power to propel this idea/bike,

 Go-Hub Hub Motor Kit
Designed for "Plug & Play" and reliability, kits are available for either 26" or 24" wheels. Wiring for the 24" kit was measured specifically for a trike but will work on a regular bike with 24" wheels. The controller on the 26" kits is mounted on the front of the bike with an aluminum clamp. This allows for better controller cooling and eliminates running the motor and throttle wires along the frame to the rack.
The Go-Hub kit uses the highly regarded B&B SLA batteries and Soneil charger. The hub motor is laced into an alloy wheel with heavy duty stainless steel spokes. The 26" kits use the 408 motor and the 24" kits the 409. The motor operates at 36V from three 12ah batteries. All of the connections, except for the battery, are inside the controller box. If components need replacing, then they are unplugged from inside of the controller box. This eliminates any external connector problems and gives a very neat "factory installed" appearance. The only wire running along the frame is the battery wire going to the trunk. All components are already factory connected except for the battery wire. Batteries and charger comfortably fit within a Topeak Super Trunk. The trunk slips into a track on the included Topeak Explorer rack and clips in place. No velcro or straps are needed. The trunk also has large side pockets to carry other items.

I guess an alternator for a 12 volt electrical system wouldn't work on something like that seeing how the batteries are wired in series to produce 36 volts.
I wonder what the speed of that is and the range. I would love to be able to ride my bike to work and not die of a heart attack...LOL
