pressure cap on saturn will not twist off Sign In

it has been a few years since this vehicle has been checked "under the hood"--it's a nice low mileage '02 saturn--everything checked out fine but can not get the pressure cap off the surge tank-it moves "a hair" and then won't budge. don't want to use any kind of force with tools etc -- anyone have a suggestion AND if it's empty--what can i do till i get antifreeze--it's been fine on short runs lately--HELP!!!

Push down with the palm of your hand while turning.

If I did that on my vehicle, I would end up with something like this poster's vehicle.

Does that mean you haven't changed the oil in years?
