67 ended a vintage for some things Ford. It would help and I still won't be sure but what engine/trans was in the 67? Perhaps most in 67 would be a 289 2V w C-4 auto. Lots of sixes too. Both years had lots of engine's offered. Standard shift or auto?

It will hurt the value if a nice car not to stay original,

Well the 67 was just a shell, but some1 buought it anyway. But do you know if the eleanor body kit will fit on the 71 mustang fastback? and the 71 has a 302 engine for your earlier post.
