Do you have the whole thing? Rusty of the memory of that but I think you take the lighter out and chrome tray and it is just nuts and screws with some fussing. Should be similar parts to other GMs of the vintage so should be able to keep it original.

If you need an original lighter and socket PM me and I may have a set for it,

There are two odd looking spring clips that are about 3/8 x 1 1/2 long and they are cupped. They need to be in place in the sides of the door and then it slips into the oval slots in the frame. Very tricky to remove and install but it does hold it in place and hold the door open when tilted up.
