Tire sizes? Sign In

I have a 66' Studebaker Daytona, it has original rims.
size is 15x4.5k
org. tire size 7.35x15 or7.75x15
the tires on the rims now are p195/75/15
I can't seem to find this size tire.
What size tires will fit on these rims.
I have found 195/65/15 but are these not a lower profile tire.
would a 205/75/15 fit
Thanks. Rick

Yes - You can find safe correct fitting tires new still. Gee - you caught me if true as I though the name Studebaker ended before 1966 but not paying that much attention either.

It's possible if you want original looks for this to get the non radials it almost certainly came with and choose "bias belted tires" that do suk compared to correct looking steel belted radials the proper size still but may need inner tubes as I'm unsure of the rim's ability to seal a tubeless tire and that works too.
IDK - Just went thru this bull with a yard machine really burning up the web. Was taking too long and use the dang thing real quick so sought out the place in person at a counter who solved the hunt right away but waited a couple days for the tires.

Google away you may do much better, faster and will beat the price I paid for a rush but anything was still available.

If you even know for sure about radial or not being OE for it you may not know for sure. Just personal experience with cars prior to radials optional at all they worked just fine, looked just fine but you do them all!

Tire specialty places and the right person should handle the hunt for you, get and install them properly. Can't always do bargains on some special order stuff,
