dash heat/ac/radio grills Sign In

Hello Everyone new on site I'm presently restoring a 1983 electra buick park ave and I'm in need of the l/r side dash grills. If any one can help me locate the grills it would be greatly appreciated. I'm also looking for a diagram on the distribution system for the heat/ac ( pipeing with actuator doors shown. ) Thanks in advance and have a great wk!!!

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION


See Figures 1, 2, 3 and 4Heater Duct

The heater duct can be removed by removing the retaining screw at the top center of the duct and working it free of the cutout base in the heater module case. Installation is the reverse of removal.Instrument Panel Outlet Duct
  1. Remove the instrument panel.
  2. Remove the duct attaching screws at the upper shroud mounting flange of the dash panel.
  3. Remove the duct attaching screw at the heater module.
  4. Installation is the reverse of removal.

  1. Remove the instrument panel and the instrument panel outlet duct.
  2. Remove the defroster attaching screws near the base of the windshield.
  3. Remove the attaching screw at the top of the heater module.
  4. Remove the defroster module.
  5. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Consider the NW and NE especially for junk like that. The reason is despite being rusty around here from Winter salts used on roads the plastic and rubber parts fare well with tons of shade Summer sun damage is less than other places better for other parts.

The advantage to a luxoboat car is many don't stay here for Winter's at all but head South as that would be a common retired person's car. Many without web sites but would have phone #s in Maine, VT, and NH and quite a bit in MA too. Can't really speak for upstate NY - same basic climate.

Chrome is best IMO from So. California. Done a few old cars. At that age many places won't have computer inventory but plain know what they have - got the T-shirt on that crap,

Thanks Re-Tired for those great photos they will come in handy, I'm retired 10yrs from Mack Truck still like working on vehicals. Well you have a great wk enjoy retirement!!!
