heater blower motor prob

I have a 66 fairlane convt. and i am having problems with my heater blower motor. Is there a resistor the I can check or something else I can check. I dont really want to take out the heater box If I dont have to. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

What is it doing if at all or just some speeds? Not many from plain memory but similar Fords were pretty straight forward nuts and bolts, cables etc.,

It does not do anything. You can feel the heat, but when you turn on the blower it does not blow. I thought if there was a resistor or a fuse somewhere I could check first then I could do that before i took it all out. It is a job to take the heater box out done it before.

If no other or better help on archives out there and I do and will go search an old paper SERVICE TRADE Chiltons - (excellent back then) but just check that power gets to the motor with a plain test light. Then check that body of motor is ground back powering the test light. If yes to those checks, give the body of motor if accessible a mild whack when it should be running and it might start right up. If so, let me know as I think you can take those motors apart with some know how and clean up brushes, check how worn etc.
If fuses good and power gets to motor and still wont run bet you can find one. Also bet replacement wont come with the squirrel cage. Just take a hard look to see if holding nut for those are reverse threaded if it gets to that - many were,

By chance did Ford put the controls on the ground side Tom? I don't know about the older cars but the heavy trucks put the heater controls on the ground side. If you have 12v at the fan, ground the ground wire. Fan should run at full speed regardless of switch postion.

It was the fuse. It was not getting a good connection. Thanks for the tips.

Yes - Thanks for the fix. Watch glass fuses. Q-Tip w WD-40 or anywhere they connect. Can still find those and a plastic tool to remove/replace those.
Done for now but watch for Mid 60s give or take that for fan speed might be done right at the switch itself. Other dash things could be 12v source but run thru a resistor down to 6v still in some,
