Should be a dual overhead cam 1.6L. Not sure what other models may be the same. Mercury Capri? I would think that would mean it's a Mercury? Ford/Mercury only made these for a very few years, so parts availability would not be good. Loren SW Washington

This car flies the Mercury flag but it is Australian made and can be impossible to get parts for. I have a customer that has one and it's been a thorn in my ass every time it comes into the shop. I couldn't even get a lower radiator hose for it. I mean NOWHERE. No dealer, no aftermarket, nothing. Some things are available locally like I had no problem find clutch parts for it. There is a mail order company that the customer told me about but they only carry some limited products. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ We offer help in answering questions, clarifying things or giving advice but we are not a substitute for an on-site inspection by a professional.

Oh, I remember the older ones. The latter generation weren't even close to the early Capri's. Loren SW Washington
