4x4 hubs Sign In

I recently bought a 4x4 lock hub for my jeep to be able to use its 4x4 and 4x2 options. the seller told me that it needs maintenance every month, does anybody know what sort of maintenance is needed?
thanks.

John the maintenance he is likely talking about is taking the hubs apart, cleaning them, applying fresh grease. Once a month that seems to be a lot.
I’d say maybe twice a year, unless you’re running off road and into the mud.

Question for you; did you really want this question answered or is it that you want your signature and link added to as many posts as possible?
Do you have this sites Admin's OK to add your links?

I use it to reach remote places and farm fields. around 3 to 4 times a week. yes a lot of mud and crazy roads.

Then you may have to set your own maintenance schedule; after a few runs take them apart and see what if anything is getting in there to contaminate the hub.

You didn’t answer my question?
