What gives ,these ads I see for seemingly simple conversions to enable your car to run on water? Surely its too could to be true otherwise everybody would be doing it,surely?

THOSE THINGS ARE SCAMS - THANKS FOR ASKING THAT. WATER DOES NOT BURN - WHEN IT DOES I'LL QUIT BUYING FUEL ALSO!!

WATER - IT IS MADE UP OF HYDROGEN AND OXYGEN. THE HYDROGEN CAN BE EXTRACTED FROM WATER BUT THAT TAKES ENERGY TO DO THAT. THAT'S FINE IF YOU HAVE A SOURCE OF ENERGY TO MAKE A FUEL CELL OF HYDROGEN THEN IT IS A NICE FUEL AND TRANSPORTABLE. ALONE WATER IS JUST WATER.

STEAM ENGINES USE WATER BUT ARE CAPTURING THE EXPANSION OF BOILING WATER. THE OLD "CHOO-CHOO" TRAINS FIRST USED HAD WATER STOPS TO REFILL BUT USED COAL TO HEAT THE WATER!

THERE'S NO FREE LUNCH OUT THERE FOLKS! IF IT WAS THAT SIMPLE TO USE PLAIN WATER OR ANY MAGIC TRICKS TO POWER OUR VEHICLES OR INCREASE MPG OF FUEL IT WOULD BE STANDARD FARE ON CARS MADE NEW.

DON'T BE SCAMMED...........

You hit the nail on the head Tom! That's is exactly what those systems they sell are designed to do. You already have the energy right under your hood - your cars battery - you can run an electric current into a water bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) mixture and produce hydrogen and you already have electricity of more then ample supply when you are driving your car, and as you said "IT IS A NICE FUEL AND TRANSPORTABLE" You are absolutely right that you can not burn water as fuel, but you can produce hydrogen to burn as fuel using water and that's what these plans are designed to do. I know because I did it to my 1999 Ford Windstar and it REALLY works. With two generators I went from apx. 15 MPG to apx. 28 MPG and I just added two more generators and just filled up again. I though the same thing that "it's too good to be true" and "it must be a scam, you can't burn water!!!" but these guys were offering a money back guarantee through Click Bank and I had purchased bogus products that went through Click Bank before and they we right on the spot with the money back, so I figured I'd give it a shot and if it didn't work I'd hit Click Bank up for the refund. I suggest you do the same and at least check it out www.WaterDrivesMyCar.com Running your car on water is just a play on words, really you are running your car on hydrogen produced through a water converting hydrogen cell. It should be HydrogenDrivesMyCar but that doesn't get peoples attention. Here are some pictures of my Windstar - check it out -

No argument that electricity you have on board thru an alternator can make hydrogen. Dammit - the alternator uses more energy to make hydrogen which is power loss to the engine then using the fuel to make electricity directly to propell the car. No free lunch out there. You are being fooled if you think running an alternator is free electricity.

Just feel the load when you turn on headlights, jump start a dead battery in another vehicle etc., etc.

If you have charged the battery with yet another means like a home battery charger you might notice an efficiency increase short term which was just what was lost to make that electricity to begin with - hydro- electric, coal, diesel, nukes, solar - whatever.

If you capture WASTE somewhere and use that energy to make hydrogen when it would otherwise be lost then you have something. Nice transportable fuel - explosive as it is!

This is to say we should use electricty to pump water back on top of the dam to create MORE energy than it took to put it back up! WRONG! They do in fact do that in times when the electricty demand is less than what is produced and run the water again - a net loss but did capture what would have been a lost.

The big lost opportunity in motor vehicles the "burn" a fuel is HEAT. technology has done well with friction. Power to propell is perhaps only half of the energy available. So far that's about the best mankind can do. Keep thinking, more can be done.

********************
It's a myth folks - no chance this is captured loss using a battery in a vehicle. If that was so then why not use this free hydrogen to make even more hydrogen and end the world's energy needs. Dosn't work that way does it?

"For every action there is a an equal and opposite reaction"- Issac Newton..... read it. Guy knew his stuff before his time and theory has never failed.

The hurdle "Du Jour" is battery technology. They weigh too much for what they carry and can supply. A tractor trailer (electric) with a cargo of batteries can't carry charged batteries to a desination for use without consuming up all the charge! Imagine that truck leaving New York for LA with a load of 10,000 gallons of fossile fuel vs charged batteries to deliver. They each use their cargo to propell them and the 10,000 gals loses 1,000 to arrive leaving off 90% of the engergy. The battery truck didn't make it carrying the weight of the batteries alone killed it before it got there!

We are experiencing an energy crisis with the cost of it doubling as it did in 1973 and again in the late 70s. The myths abounded then too. If there was a simple way to get out of this problem then the big three car makers would be doing it now and retrofitting an entire fleet so they won't be going out of business like is possible this time.

Save your money folks on this trick but keep thinking.....

Your post was without the link which I removed and is not allowed here........

______________

Post was: The bottom line is that it works and it most certainly is not a waste of money, but the opposite - it's saving me a $100 a week. I challenge you to try it for yourself Tom and see if it works or not. Your battery has plenty of un-used energy just sitting there. It only take 12volt and I have a 15 amp mini-fuse between the generator and the power supply anything over 15 amp blows the fuse and the system shuts down. My next door neighbor has a 100watt amp in his trunk with a power supply coming off of his batter thicker then a roll of quarters and his battery supplies plenty of power. Do you seriously feel a drain in your car when you turn your head lights on??? I've never heard of such a thing - they must see you coming clear over here in Cali. We are talking a 12volt power supply connected with a 14 gauge wire - you car has enough power just sitting there un-used. It's not a scam - I challenge everyone to see for themselves and then report back. If it's a scam get your refund. Save your money guys and stop throwing it unnecessarily down your tank. My Gramps used tell me "there's no such thing as a free lunch" well I guess Gramps was wrong this time.

Patrick,
Good job at making a link stick! This is a scam and you know it. If and only if you could capture wasted energy you get something back for the effort. Of course an alternator uses energy - big time. Just hook one up and pedal power it you couldn't make you lights go on with all you are worth sitting still never mind move for the effort.

The websites in my signature if anyone want to prove whose right risk free - I still challenge Tom to speak from experience and not from theory. Give it a try Tom - you'll see.

Tom you are acting like you need a ton of electrical energy to make this work. You car provides plenty of un-used energy when your driving. You don't use any more energy when you turn on your windshield wipers or your car radio. I use less energy when I charge my cell phone in my car then when I turn on my generator - come on Tom. Like I said, don't let the nay-sayer cheat you out of saving money when they have not even tried it for themselves. I have tried it so I can speak from experience and it seems as though other on this forum have tried it with positive results also.

My gas mileage went from 15 MPG to 28 MPG - where is the scam or the harm Tom - I'm saving a good $100 a week - I don't see where you are coming from Tom - if want to throw money down your tank needlessly go ahead - I just don't think many people will see the logic in that. I'm not a rich guy with $100's to burn -if you are - more power to you - for the rest of use - let's save some money!!!!!!

Yes, they are scams. Now there is always the legitimate hydrogen fuel cell method, which you either get the cell, or use electricity from the plug to create it... but thats not what you're talking about.

Your alternator, with a gas engine running, can create enough hydrogen from water. No problem. The problem is that no system is 100% efficient. In fact, "amazing" energy systems are lucky if they are 35-40 % efficient. There is so much energy loss through heat, sound, and motion. "Energy can neither be created, nor destroyed." It can be transformed. The energy to make this hydrogen has to come from somewhere. Theres no sense putting more energy into making it than you will get out of it. Don't fall for it.
