From what I’ve read on reviews that you can go on websites and see other people’s experiences thought I’d better ask around before purchasing one. Every one I have had has lasted for years and years so I don't think reliability is really an issue. They are uncomplicated, basic simple components. Just a transformer and some switches. Tom Greenleaf Ultimate Carjunky / Moderator Aug 13, 2020, 1:55 PM Post #3 of 5 (900 views) Re: Battery Charger Sign In If not in a wild hurry which isn't good to do anyway get a low AMP automatic "Charger/Maintainer" by Black and Decker (just look them up) shuts OFF by itself is the real deal don't cook a battery with more. Those come with cig lighter adaptors and clamps marked for polarity and best one can be out in the rain and dropped - untested by me own at least 20 of the fool things. They should also claim OK for use with AGM now getting more popular is wet lead acid still just not quite like "Flooded Lead Acid" batteries can be tipped over and used that way for some! To add on edit: More seen in Home Centers than automotive places IDK why and cost less but the same? Now prob about $30? Those type would be good for equipment that’s only used seasonally. Appreciate the I put and information. The one I like is 2 full amps of charging and shuts off is on right now will be 'GREEN' light on means all done when first plugged in is amber. Red is common for something really dead or wrong or if flashing incorrect polarity. Different types this thing has charge more batteries than you can count from new or very low in 12 hours if not done something is wrong to find out. Telling you that you don't want fast/speed, high amps pushed in your alternator will do that and wreck itself and a good battery more than once if you don't fix both - be warned.
