Car owners pains to find good mechanics

Hi, I am a new mechanic in process of opening a shop soon. Can you please share your thoughts about pains of an average car owner when she/he have to find a mechanic to fix their car?
What kind of problems/dilemas they have when their car needs a repair?

If you have to ask that question it really makes me wonder if you would even be qualified to operate a repair shop.

I m not a spammer. It is a legitimate question. What are the pains of car owners seeking help to fix their cars. How can a mechanic address those pain?

Just asking the question tells me you have never worked in the trade which gives you virtually no chance of success in this business. Don't you have to be licensed to work in the trade in Canada?

I m not here for you to judge my professionalism.
I am a licensed mechanic and have a EMBA from one of the top business schools in the US.
My background is mechanical engineering with Ms in Dynamic Fluids....
I have asked a question which I believe is valid.
Some times we miss on very basics and focus on technical issues that forget "customers"

Price, reputation, honesty, timeliness of repairs...the usual stuff that any customer expects. To address those pains you try to meet your customers' expectations the best way you know how.
If your starting up a repair shop, why are you asking these questions? You should already know the answers even before you consider starting up a business.

Right but how do you find a mechanic that has those qualities you have mentioned? I think this is the first pain.
Asking a question doesn't mean you don't know the answers. It means you want to know more that what you already know. ( know the unknowns)

First you will have to determine your business plan and who your target customer will be. There are many different types of repair facilities. Some specialize in certain areas, some target the hardest of diagnostics and electrical work, some cater to the bottom feeder customer and others go after the premier, "well to do" customer. You rarely find a shop that appeals to both types of customer. The shop location may have a lot to say about that too. What type of business you operate will determine what type of customer you will target and that will determine what type of advertising will work best for you.
