Last Resort for Wheel Covers

I know this is going to sound ridiculous, but I have an old Mitsubishi Mirage with 250K miles! ... And I have bought I don't know how many sets of wheel covers from Walmart and no matter what I do, they come flying off somehow and I lose them! I have tried all the fitting tricks the 2nd flange and whatever else! but the car looks like a piece of junk without them, So I have decided since I rarely get flats, why not just Glue them right to the Rims! My question is, are there any Glues out there that will bond Plastic to steel rims? Any Advice appreciated!

I'm sure that liquid nails would work really well for that.

That was my first thought but recently I tried using Liqiud Nails on cementing 2x4's to my bedrroom sheet rock wall, and a week later they are just coming loose!

I hear you with the Walmart hub caps/wheel covers you speak of. Get what you pay for.
Careful making whatever you do too hard to remove as you just might to take the wheel off for anything even just a flat and be screwed.
IDK - have you checked out junkyards for whole sets that fit but aren't too popular so don't cost diddle?

If you're going to glue them on, buy the ones that the lugs show through holes so you can take the wheel off.

Use a hole saw and make your own lug nut access holes...haha.
Are the rims rusty? You could sand blast them and paint them black.

Where's the thread with the guy with the SawzAll?
You mean this is something DUCT tape can't fix?
IDK - There has to be better generic stuff out there that wont fall off, held on by the lug nuts or just "nut covers" not full wheel covers - something. Paint wheels a good idea in the mix,
