Pad and Rotors

When you get your brakes done, do you always have to get the rotors replaced? No matter how early I go for a brake job they tell me I need my rotors replaced.

It's a good idea.. You can turn the rotors providing you have enough left on them. Alot of aftermarket rotors are not a thick as factory ones so they usally can not be turned after use.

The price of aftermarket rotors have gotten so cheap that sometimes it's just not worth cutting them any more.

It depends on the condition of the rotors. If the rotors aren't warped and are still smooth with no grooves worn into them, then you should be able to just replace the pads. You would also want to make sure that the thickness of the rotor is where it should be, and not worn to thin.
