Rant about check engine light

So was just talking about a experience I had at 2 mechanic shops paid for a diagnostic at each went to orielys store 1st to do a free obd scan they told me what the problem could be and it was one of the sensors on the back of my motor a 2006 Nissan pathfinder. I'm a self-learner type a little better now but ya way newbie so I kind of told the mechanic what orieleys told me and they never checked for that just did their own scan and found nothing other than they cleaned and replaced my cable terminal same thing at the other one.. Soo drove it around for a while till it went into limp mode googled it said to unhook battery and hook it back up and was good to go for a lil while did this til we got home than parked it for a couple months than bought my own code reader bam told me what it was switched it out it ran way better than before... Why did I have to figure it out myself???? Got dang it. So far been doing my own repairs from google and youtube and now probly from here just searched this forum up just to rant about this. Hello everyone.
