Removing Center Console

Hi, I own a 2003 Chevy S10 2.2L 2WD 5SPD STD trans STD cab with 72000 miles. I've decided to replace the console assembly because my lid has broken and I'd rather not replace it with another of the same type. However, I'm having a great amount of difficulty removing the center console. I have a 60/40 bench, and the console has two pieces of plastic rising from below the seats to attach to the console. However, no nuts or bolts are revealed, and I can't seem to get past removing the console lid. I can barely see bolt is going into the console if I look in between the piece of plastic and the console, but there is a plastic lining inside my console that I also cannot seem to remove :( Any help would be greatly appreciated. EDIT: I've made a little progress...After prying the plastic a little, it gave way and I tore through some Styrofoam until I found two bolts going into the bottom. I don't know what to use for taking these off. sorry, I'm a noob :( They look like gears on the head. Any ideas? I saw something on yahoo that references them as 10mm bolts.
