Seeking Dual Steering Wheel Installation So. California/Los Angeles Sign In

Hello everyone.

I own a small driving school and I am wondering if anyone knows of a place that installs dual steering wheels within a 100 mile radius of Los Angeles?

It's not typical for driving schools to have these, so the places that offer this service are few and I have been unable to find any so far. Thought would ask the pros.

Thanks in advance.

? Site is mostly US + Canada oriented. What CA allows or requires if you own a driving school would be specific to just CA probably not the rest. I know of zero such dual steering in use here in MA not far behind CA with ridiculous requirements for vehicles.

Not all that long ago by chance one new driver and one retest handled by me to find a driving school or have a vehicle with just a center pull parking brake was all that was required plus vehicle must pass all safety inspections done on sight where the test will be done before the test. In short if doing this again would be asking a driving school first what is required who would most likely be informed of any new requirements for what vehicles must be used and proctored by what qualifications could change in no time by our RMV (Registry of Motor Vehicles) all other states call the same thing the DMV - you should know that already and which states or places have reciprocity with each other's training or testing system,

There is no requirement in the state of California to use dual steering wheels, the cars already exceed state standards in terms of controls. This is to be used as an additional training aid.

If anyone knows the answer here please chime in. Been looking at places that install dual brakes and gas but so far none of them do steering wheels.

Almost, but in calling them they have discontinued steering wheels...

If anyone else knows of anyone in Southern California please post it up.

So, you go to an auto parts store and buy a steering wheel.

They stopped supplying them because they couldn't satisfy anybody with style.

Well the steering wheel needs to connect to the wheels in some fashion while mounted on the passenger side. Simply buying the steering wheel is only part of the puzzle here.

Anyway, if anyone knows anyone in southern california that does this please post it up.

The system they sell is complete, minus the steering wheel which you buy locally.

That's all we can do for you here.

Jim found you the complete system.. and just a stones throw away from LA to....good job Jim

If they do installs as well....you're done!.. Putting on an AM steering wheel literally takes minutes and is 3 bolts..

It's the same as ordering a cake but you have to put the cherry on top.... for what you are looking for, this is a good as it's going to get...

Oh I get the confusion here. You actually interpreted when I said "they don't do steering wheels" to mean "they do everything but the steering wheel"...um..no, that's um..not what I meant.

Let me rephrase this prevent any further confusion ..They don't install or sell any parts for dual steering wheel systems any longer, they have discontinued the entire product line. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Zilch.

Now that this has been cleared up....

If anyone knows of any places in southern California that can provide this equipment, please let me know.

Ok... I see the confusion...

I'm guessing when you called them, you asked if they could refer you to a place that does sell them? Sometimes you have to talk to the right person... If it's just the receptionist, you may get a no, but if you can talk to one of the older guys in the back, they may know of a place that still does

Nobody here lives in that area. We use Google, just like you can.
